Scribblings and bibblings; bibblings and scribblings.

VW Bug had a post up recently about making Christmas ornaments with Tater and Tot. In her comments, I told her about the ornaments we made with RTY a number of years ago. I promised her (blurry) pictures. Here they are: These are quick and easy to make, but a bit messy. All you need are super cheap styrofoam balls, left over Christmas napkins, white glue, ribbon, straight pins, and white/clear glitter. What you do: depending on the age of your kid will determine if you cut the design out of the napkin or if your kid cuts it out. Have a paper plate with glue on it, smear glue onto the back of the cut out design, then press it to the ball. Let it set for a minute, then smear more glue over the design and onto the naked ball. Roll in glitter. Once dry, pin a ribbon loop to the top. RTY gave them as gifts to several people that year. I pack them carefully when I put away the ornaments, and my balls are not even dented yet. Also, I distinctly remember making one in kindergarten that I remember up through my teen years. I'd be willing to be mom still has it. They're so simple but look quite nice. Have fun!
