PSA to loud talkers
November 1st, 2006 at 01:45 pm by wRitErsbLock in UncategorizedAttention Loud Talkers!
If you are making a cold sales call, and you walk uninvited and unscheduled into my office, and are wearing too much stinky cologne, and then pile your various personal items onto my desk, and use my stapler uninvited, and then your cell phone rings and you say, “you don’t mind if I take this call, do you?” and then you commence TALKING VERY LOUDLY INTO YOUR CELL PHONE, consider stepping outside. I could hardly hear my client who called on my phone over your incredibly rude loud talking. And my clients in my conference room did not need to hear your unbearably loud conversation either.
If you’re a loud talker, take your conversation elsewhere.
Humourosly, though, when Loud Talker got off his cell phone and I was still on the phone with my client, and then boss KK walked through the room, LT launched into his sales spiel at KK, who kept walking, did not acknowledge the guy, and closed the conference room door.
I was so amused. I need to learn from her excellent example. And remember to buy a “No Solicitors” sticker for the door. I’m so sick of solicitors.
