Cool. I’ve been wanting to get my foot in that door ever since Hotair’s inception.

Some of the comments there aren’t particularly my cup of tea. In the article about the 6 year old boy the Taliban strapped explosives on, Bill at INDC made the insane suggestion that not all Muslims are evil, and promptly got…
…his dick stepped on.

First of all, the premise that all Muslims aren’t evil people who would gladly strap explosives onto their children isn’t my half-baked opinion, it’s a fucking fact.

Right about the time I posted, someone else posted a particularly vile and hateful comment. The sort of which I thought Hotair didn’t allow. It might be gone shortly.

Still, it’s good to be able to comment there, if not post.

Maybe they’ll wise up to my brilliance and invite me to guest post there. :)

  1. Amy Said,

Brian, they would be lucky to have your brilliance posting there.. ; ) …. (I’ll take it all in $50’s) doh!!!! just kidding friend, I stand by my first statement..

  2. Bill from INDC Said,

Some of the commenters there are ok, and the blog itself is mostly fantastic, of course. And I usually ignore a lot of the comments, but often there’s a subtle shift from critique of Islam to animated duhumanization of the religion and its adherents, calls to kill or convert, drop MOABs, nuke the ME, etc. And the tone of some of it is both disturbing and paradoxical, especially from quarters that ostensibly support US foreign policy in its current Iraqi and Afghani incarnations.

And of course, when one criticizes this tone, one is inevitably attacked for playing the overplayed “Islamophobia” card, even when the term is relevant.

For me, it’s just hard to listen to folks go after all Muslims when I’ve met and even lived with plenty that are a-ok, and certainly who would be horrified at using a child as a suicide bomber.

  3. Matthew Said,

Wow. Neat site. Grats on getting “in”. :-)

I looked up that Bill Whittle article (Tribes). Good stuff. I really like the way he states things. Must go off and ponder now…
