Kirsten Powers has crossed over to the dark side
July 4th, 2007 at 03:41 pm by in UncategorizedEveryone’s favorite Democrat, who’s known for occasionally making sense while walking around in a terminal state of hottitude, has jumped the fence.
What finally sent her over the edge was the call by some (and by that, I mean “some” not all) Democrats to censor talk radio to make if more fair.
Liberals claim they just want “fairness” - but if that were so, they wouldn’t limit their concern just to talk radio, the one area where they’ve been shut out (by their own incompetence, mind you - Air America, the liberal talk-radio network, was a complete fiasco). They aren’t concerned that Americans “get both sides of the story” on abortion or embryonic-stem-cell research or abstinence training. They weren’t concerned about “fairness” when Katie Couric blamed evangelicals for the death of Matthew Shepherd.
They protest that the airwaves belong to the American people. They’re right - which is all the more reason to keep grubby government mitts off of them. And if we’re going to start dictating media content for the good of the proletariat, then there’s no reason to stop with radio. (As Fox’s Sean Hannity joked last week, “OK, then we want the ‘no sex before marriage’ channel to balance out MTV.”)
If you have a bit of sense about you and you’re a good friend of Michelle Malkin, sooner or later you’ll come to the conclusion that not all conservative ideals are mean-spirited and reactionary. Such is the case with Kirsten Powers.
I’m not waving a victory flag or anything here. Just enjoying the fact that what I’ve believed is true. Not everyone with a (D) after their name is a fruit loop.
But most importantly, and I want to be clear on this, Kirsten Powers is so very, very hot!

The bad news is that we are about to strip Kirsten of her D and replace it with an R, so we will be back at square 1 where everybody with a D next to their name is a fruit loop!

Well, strangely enough, Nancy Pelosi has said many sane things in her political career. We can only hope she’ll say a few more, since we can’t seem to get rid of her.
ummm Bri, this is the first time I have to disagree with you…there is no way to equate Bela Pelosi with sanity….there is just no way. I hope Kirsten can hold up to the critisizm the Dems are sure to throw at her about about having been on Fox News as a regular.
Oh really? How about when she said we should secure the border with Mexico, but allow a couple hundred thousand migrant workers in to help with the harvest, so long as we knew who they were and could keep track of them? Is that an insane idea?

Amy, I don’t think many Democrats see Kirsten Powers and think “Hey here is one of us”, just like I suspect not many Republicans see Chuck Hagel and think “Hey, here is one of us”
Democrats that go on fox news have a big chance of being DINOs…
I think if fox wanted real democrats that would take people with views similar to ones you would read on media matters or daily kos.
But Fox News likes to have…you know. Viewers. And furthermore, I doubt your bonafides as a true lib troll as you seem to have a sense of humor.
