I’m one of the coordinators and we’d like to thank the fantastic support and the wonderful crowd who were respectful and passionate! Actually, the Amphitheater Manager on site said the city estimated the crowd to be 5000-6000 and the police on site wholeheartedly agreed. In fact, they said it was the largest crowd they’d ever scene at the amphitheater. Unfortunately, clf13 published the first article and it said 3000 which we underestimated. Actually, on their broadcast, they said “Hundreds gathered at Lake Eola” Channel 2 also said “Hundreds.” Channels 2, 6, and 9 had interviews with the coordinators who talked about the purpose of the event but did not bother to broadcast them .
The fact that we rallied this many people without the help of the broadcast media is fabulous! Thank you Orlando!!!

Wow david, some anger issues? I have yet to meet anyone that ‘would gladly be the person to murder President Obama’ at these rallies. I have however meet lots of ‘kill Bush’ liberals at rallies the last several years. You could easily find those at any hollywood or MSM gatherings too. I am the last person in the world who would want Obama to die in any way in office, because then the liberals would turn him into a martyr even if he fucks the country like it looks like he will. So why don’t you go toss off to the O’s picture and leave the adults alone to talk, OK?

I am proud to say that I did attend and I must agree that the crowd was well over 5,000 strong. It was peaceful, it was orderly (except for the nutcase that showed up with the flag upside down. They were escorted out of there).
It is sad that our society graduates people who do not know how to reason. I’ve learned a long time ago that the easiest way to spot a liberal is to let them speak. David seems woefully uninformed. Has he forgotten that Barney has had oversight of Freddie and Fannie since the early 90’s? He successfully fought off all regulations and is totally in the tank for the mess we are now in. David rails on how much President bush spent following 911. Has he been in a vacuum the last 2 months. In the first 30 days, Comrade Obama has spent more money than ALL Previous Administrations combined. If it wasn’t so serious, their incessant rantings would be humorous. Lets see how much he rants in 6 months.
I want to thank the people who organized this. I want to thank the people who attended and I want to thank the MSM for their endearing support (ok, I can be a smartass at times). Had they shown up, they would have been shocked to see so many people demonstrating about what a great country we have. I didn’t hear one person put down the country. No one burned a flag. We don’t like what our leaders are doing and we don’t like their policies which will affect each and every one of us for decades to come. that is the difference between us and them.

I couldn’t help but notice the deep irony surrounding the strident anti-Obama rallies that the right-wing media is so proud of, and comparing that to the right-wing media rhetoric this week about how tasteful and destructive the “mob rule” mentality was surrounding the AIG bonus scandal.
So, angry mobs gathering to denounce Obama as a communist is good. But angry mobs denouncing seven-figure bonuses for failed financial executives who work for bailed out institutions is bad.

I have read the book twice and I’m on the third reading right now. Seeing as sales of the book have skyrocketed, I suspect many there have read it. When some one would come and ask me who Galt was I would tell them and recommend the book to them. Ahh yes, an election where the democrats took over both the house and senate. What happened to the economy then? Now think real hard, I know it hurts you but try ok, you can do it. Who did they give the most money to and who did they vote for? I’ll give you a hint, AIG gave the most to 1) Chris Dodd (d) and 2) Obama (d). Now something else, you claim that the people at this rally were doing ‘uncontrolled spending of their own and over extending themselves on mortgages’, this was a rally against bailouts, I think you can reasonable rule out anyone at the rally as needing a bailout. We, like you, don’t want to pay for a deadbeat that can’t afford a mortgage they got because the Democrats forced Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to give them loans even knowing they couldn’t possible afford them.

Another link from a lefty site, this one with the old ‘you will not see any other race’ line they love to grab on to. I can testify that there were other races there, as a matter of fact, I was one of them! One of the first speakers was an African American, or as he called himself, an American, the same as I call myself. Was there a lot of African Americans there, probably not as many as should be, but that is because most are Democrats because they believe all the pandering to them the liberals do. When someone of another race does speak out against liberal’s they are derided as traitors to their race.
Mike and “Broadway Carl” (flings wrist) they are protesting the debasement of the American currency by a trillion dollars through the printing press, which does not create money, but only makes todays money worth less tomorrow. It is a wealth confiscation FOR the rich, the politically connected rich and politically conected corporations, and is not offset by some trivial “tax break” for the commoner.
Of course, I doubt most of the crowd know the reason why they protest, including zionist neocons like Glenn Beck and Limbaugh. But the Ron Paul supporters (that four months ago the Neocon blogger brigade vilified as a “racist” “anti semites” and would not be seen in the same crowd as them) know why they protest.
The principles of Ron Paul and not “John Galt” dominate the signs.
I find it interesting to see so many people come out for such an event. I was initially impressed to see that apathy had not become such an imprint in our society that individuals no longer supported a cause. But my impression was completely changed when I saw the signs and the general nature of the event.
People so hypocritically throw blaming words of economic crisis to someone who has hardly had any time in office at all when the previous president ran us up to a 10 trillion deficit. Not to mention an endless, costly war containing no exit tragedy. Is this to boast that the country was in great shape before Obama came along?
I think people have the right idea that change in the government is long overdue. But how is attacking the philosophy of the presidents party going to change anything? We all know finding ways to unite people together is the only way real change occurs. Angry mobs are only angry mobs and cannot be taken seriously. For future events, I would suggest less cheap shots on the leaders and really holding them accountable for the current system and how it can be operated better. But of course such an event would seem to inspire less people because we all know how to inspire hate within others to get them off the couch.
I was a little disturbed on what I saw with some of the signs about abortion. Especially since conservatives are all for stopping the killing of an unborn fetus but seem to have no issues with the millions of innocent people who die in the destruction of war. And of course there are our soldiers to consider. “Sure, kill all the innocent foreigners if you want but not the unborn fetuses” is the message being sent.
I’m not sure much of this gets through to most people when they decide to do these things but I’m hoping this will make it to someone who really cares….
If you want to inspire people with uneducated, hateful “buzz words” and persuade them the country is moving toward socialism that is your choice. But remember there are those of us watching behind the scenes, shaking our heads, and wondering when the madness and the separation will stop.

Only problem is that we see too many of those unborn baby pics up where children can see them. That’s going to turn off a lot of people that may have attended a rally.
Maybe those who oppose these parties should carry signs of their own stating something like ” we support obama because we can’t support ourselves.” It really is time for people to grow up, be responsible and take care of themselves.

Liberals can complain about us having these tea parties all they want. It doesn’t change anything. We feel the way we feel, because we feel that our freedom, our rights, our Constitution is being taken away from us. Take a look at how the Democrats want DC to have all these rights, but they believe they don’t have to follow the Constitution to do so. I’ve actually heard Democrats say the Constitution is just a suggestion. I’m sorry, but no, it’s the law of our country. We need to follow the law or go about making amendments. We can’t just do whatever we please because we want to. That’s not how you govern a nation. If you can’t follow the rules you don’t deserve to be in charge.
Change is not always a good thing.
Congrats on a great rally & wonderful pics. Just wish I could attend a rally nearby on the April 15th. I now hope those in Washington realize they’re making MANY people unhappy & uneasy about economy as well as other things. We should pray for them to start to make decisions which we the people want, not what THEY want.

I see where some are saying there was no blacks at the ralley——well guess what???? All Americans can stnad up —white or black—to protest what Obama is doing—–I am not imtimidated by these remarks–Im white–proud–American —and will stand up for the constitution!
Why is Obama being allowed to even serve as President? It appears he’s not even an American, he refuses to produce proof, his own grandmother said she was at his birth, in his fathers village in “Kenya” and to top it off, the puppet Marxist Federal Judges have “all” refused to hear lawsuits wanting Obama to produce proof of citizenship.
Also, why are American taxpayers supporting 8+ million illegal aliens of the 13+ illegal aliens? The politicians say illegal aliens are here to do work Americans won’t do, maybe so, but that would be only about 2.5 or 3 million illegal aliens, but 8+ million illegal aliens are receiving welfare, food stamps, free health care , etc. While Americans who grew up during the Great Depression, served in World War 2, later worked 50, 60+ years working and paying taxes and now an illegal aliens get everything and many of these Americans have to make a choice, pay for medication and less food, proper food and no medication, this is so wrong! Plus the taxpayers are paying for thousands of illegal aliens in prisons for serious crimes against American citizens. And of the 13+ illegal aliens in the U.S. how many are actually sleeper terroristspecial ops from Venezuela, etc., 100, 1000, 10,000, 100,000, even a million plus. The politicians cannot proof if just 10 illegal aliens out of 20 are really who they say they are. So, what about National Security? On top of that, the Marxist politicans wants to disarm law abiding U.S. citizens, why? Plus a President who appears to be a non-citizen. To control Americans by force, Hilter did it, Mao did it, etc.
Also, concerning no blacks at the ralley, their were some at the rally, the “hard working class American blacks”, that is. And I agree with Chissy, The radical blacks have been imtimidating “Whites” to long,”Whites” were slaves thosuands of years in Europe, such as the Celtic people in Britain by the Romans and the Celtic descendants haven’t been whining since they were freed and their descendants l don’t go on and on saying we were slaves and demanding hard earned taxpayers money for their ancestors slave labor and the first slaves in America were poor Whites, children included and Native Americans.
What about the descendants of the blacks who were freemen who owned slaves, do they expect handouts also? The third riches slave owner in South Carolina was William Ellison, a former slave and he and his family were staunch supporters of the Confederate cause, which was states rights, not slavery, after all the North had slaves, the slave ships were owned by Northern business men and most of the slave traders were Northerners. Remember, the victors which the histories, but the truth is coming out everyday! Remember, the U.S. entered World War One because a passenger ship was sunk by a German submarine and the U.S. and the U.K. never mentioned they were carrying arms on the innocent passenger ship, against international law, wasn’t found out until modern reseachers found the ship off the coast of Ireland and proved the facts with photos.
Native Americans have more rights to complain than blacks, they were slaves, plus they had millions of acres of land stolen.
And by the way, this non American President, “Mr.” Barack Hussein Obama is not the first African-American President, first he’s not a legal President and he’s one half “White” and the rest African and Arabic, no even one half black and it’s a proven fact, his ancestors were slave traders, sold “blacks”, from the Sudan and later Kenya.
Wake up America, to many Americans think we cannot be defeated, we can be and more than like from within!

It is sad that we must form TEA parties to show our dismay with our current Administration. Why not have Obama, Congress, and the Treasury donate their salaries for a two-year period as a contribution to our country. Put your money where your mouth is…It’s the American way!
