endless clutter
July 11th, 2009 at 06:44 pm by wRitErsbLock in Mindless MeanderingsOne of the things we would like to do is find a way to mount our flat screen on the wall in the family room. Problems include finding a mount that’s in our budget that is also big enough for our enormous tv, and finding a mount that will mount on that wall. The wall is not a flat wall; we have an odd angle where two walls meet behind the television, and that’s the only place in the room we can put the television. But then, even if we mounted the television, it’s not like we could get rid of one of our tv stands, we still have all the other electronic clutter that needs a place to be stored, in close proximity to the television. Clutter begets clutter.
Take our bedroom, for example. We mounted the television (found a great deal on a wall mount when some big box electronics store went out of business or online or something), and mounted the tv. That created a clean surface which, you guessed it, is now cluttered with other crap. We’re so great at having crap piled up everywhere and so not great at throwing crap away.
I don’t have a point with this post. I just had mounting the tv on my brain because I’m sitting here, watching tv, and thinking about how much I want to paint this room, which leads me to rearranging things, which involves mounting the tv. My mind meanders.
