Back in Purple!
July 20th, 2009 at 03:58 pm by wRitErsbLock in Team In TrainingIt’s official, I am signed back up with Team in Training, raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Fundraising begins today; the team kick off meeting is August 22nd. Official training begins shortly thereafter.
I’ll be attending an informational meeting later this week to see if I’d like to step it up and notch and be a mentor this season.
The Disney Marathon is January 10, 2010; with your emotional and financial help, I’ll be there.
Youse guys totally rawked last year; I was humbled and amazed at how generous you are. Please consider donating again this year. It’s so easy to budget $5 or $10 from each paycheck toward this worthy cause.
My mom’s friend, Jackie, lost her battle with cancer on April 12, 2009. Let’s fund the fight against blood cancers.

They have non-fundraising mentors too. Ask them about that. It’s fundraising only $250. That’s what I did for Va Beach. I’m currently a non-fundraising mentor because I want to do an event next year… Century Ride. I’m saving for it just in case I can’t do the fundraising.
I’ll be at Disney if I’m not injured. I signed up 4 mo ago. (Doing it on my own…)
I just had a friend who died of brain cancer on Sunday night.
