We went to Universal Studios Saturday night for the Pat Benetar / REO Speedwagon concert. Eleven years ago, shortly after we began not-dating, sherlock and I went to an REO concert out at UCF. I only vaguely remember it. And I’m fairly certain, at that time, I was pretty much unfamiliar with REO. Over the years, we have seen Pat Benetar in concert twice. We’re all about free concerts, so we braved the rain for this double-header.

Honestly, we would not have gone it it had only been Pat Benetar. As I wrote, we had already seen her twice, and would not have braved the rain for this concert. But she was on before REO, and we really wanted to see them. So, we stood in the rain. Pat does a great concert, although the sound levels were off.

Pat performed for about an hour. Then, there was a thirtyish minute break while the stage hands set up for REO Speedwagon, who also performed for about an hour.

In between the concerts, some people left, and we were able to get much closer to the stage for REO. Odd, then, that I couldn’t see! I ended up behind tall people, and a guy holding his small child up in front of my face. Also, claustrophobia was hitting me hard due to people behind me pushing me forward into the guy and his toddler, and the total lack of oxygen.
