Scribblings and bibblings; bibblings and scribblings.

I must confess, I did not do a whole lot of work today. I did some Christmas shopping online, which caused me to surf around a lot. I ended up looking at bedroom furniture online. Amanda and Sarah can both confirm that sherlock and I are terribly lacking in bedroom furniture. We have a plastic set of drawers more commonly found in a garage or utility room serving as our dresser, and a set of metal egg crate type shelves for additional clothes storage. As for the bed, well, it’s just the bed frame. No fancy head board or foot board or anything. It’s embarrassing, really. When people come over and I give them the tour, I always issue a disclaimer before opening the door to our room. Until we have real furniture, our room will always look trashed.

Okay, so I’ve been to this site before and it seems like they have updated their inventory. I don’t remember them having that many options for bedroom sets in black. See, sherlock and I are black/metal/glass type people, not natural wood type people. That’s part of the reason we have not purchased a bedroom set yet, even though we have been living together for almost nine years. Not many places carry bedroom sets in our price range that appeal to us.

I am going to try to find something we like in 2008. It’s about time we have an elegant bedroom.

  1. Amanda Said,

It took us just as long to find ours last year. The only difference between us is that I had a hand-me-down bedroom set that I acquired when I began living on my own. We made due with that until last summer.

    Don’t worry, it will happen!
