a quick post about Gardasil
December 28th, 2007 at 12:42 pm by wRitErsbLock in UncategorizedIt has been a while since there has been anything on my television to get my dander up about Gardasil. However, this morning, a new comment appeared in one of my earlier Gardasil rants. Because the post is from last March, chances are none of you will see the comment. It’s very important, so I emailed Roxie and asked her if I could bring it to the front as it’s own entry. Thank you, Roxie, for sharing your daughter’s experience with me and my readers
(emphasis my own)
Hi: Just wanted to add my 2cents about gardasil- my daughter had taken two of the three vaccines at the urging of our family doctor- she was told it could be spread through casual contact, as in coughing, sneezing, cuts and open wounds in carriers in college labs.. so my daughter decided to take the vaccine. She has had a seizure, fainting spells, swelling in her face, neck and lymph nodes, burning prickles in her legs and scalp to the point where you couldn’t even touch her hair. Her legs began to give out unexpectedly, then came the loss of use. She was sent to Cleveland Clinic where we were told she had too much stress in her life!! Since every one of these symptoms of which I only name a few, came on several days after the injections, we made no connection to Gardasil until after returning from the Clinic. It was through a friend who showed us an article about Gardasil side affects that we realized what was going on. But not until after my daughter decided she felt too bad to take the third dose. Now she suffers from pressure in her head, behind her eyes - another side affect that has been on-going.. and her legs hurt off and on like they are being sledge hammered. Some days she can hardly get around. Wish we had been told that there were other side affects to gardasil other than grand mal seizures and site injection inflamation!
Holy cow! Roxie, I am so sorry your daughter went through all of that, and continues to suffer side effects. Shame on her doctor for spreading lies (honestly, HPV is not like the common cold). I hope your daughter’s experience will reach out and help other women make a more educated decision about beginning the Gardasil series of shots.
I will be thinking happy thoughts that your daughter can make a full recovery.

Thanks for your kind words- we truly appreciate them. It is our prayer that our daughter will make a full recovery.
Thank you for this wonderful site- it allowed me to vent!!
as like others i also had two daughters who only got 1 out of a series of three shots. both of my daughter s a.re experiencing the same things bad headaches my oldest daughter was hospitalized for paralasis of the legs the diaognosis was guillian baree syndrome. both girls have been fainting and not being able to eat much food before feeling like they are going to pop but i contacted an attourney about this so please document everything if i had known then what i know now i would never have given my daughters this shot tell every girl you know.
I just got back from the doctor not too long ago and she was trying to give me this shot. We had to leave because of family emergencies. I came home and looked up this vaccine…….and i swear on anything i will not go back in the morning and get this shot. I am so sorry about the moms and dads and victims of this crazed vaccine. I was supposed to get the 2 out of three vaccine. I strongly encourage each and every person effected by this shot to the doctor and the state for everything they got. Its not right for innocent people to come into the office normal, and walk out to never me the same person again. I am only a young girl myself but i do care and have feelings about the girls out there suffering. I am so sorry. Also we should consider starting some sort of fund like we have for breast cancer, and start helping people who have been effected by this vaccine. Any mom or dad, grandma or grandpa, aunt or uncle, PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD OR KIN FOLKS GET THE GARDISIL SHOT!!!!
