humbled and amazed

A big, huge thank you to the people who have left comments or emailed words of support, and to those who don’t even know me who have been donating to this wonderful cause. I am… humbled. I am in awe at your generosity. Truly, youse guys rock!
I know my fund raising page does not reflect the generosity of Rachel’s readers, but it will. It takes a few days to transfer the money out of Paypal into my bank, and then on to the LLS site. I’m all for making it easier on you to donate and taking a few extra steps on my end.
I depleted my thank you note stash last night. And that’s a good thing, right?!

Oh…you do know that here in England, ‘fag’ means ‘cigarette’, don’t you? Only, I lost count of the number of times that I got strange looks every time I said “I’m just going outside to smoke a fag” the last time I was in South Carolina.
Seriously, I hope you meet your target and I’ll be contributing something every month until you do. Two members of my family are suffering from cancer at the moment, and the the longest distance I’ve ever managed to run is around 2 miles. And even then I was wheezing and was in such a state that I could have been beaten up by a 10 year-old. Yup, I’m that tough.
