I’ve been mostly awake since 312a when the wind kicked up. I hate listening to things whipping around outside in the dark.

We’re waiting to head out to work, what with our relatively high-profile vehicle and all. My MIL is on the road right now ::shakes head:: retrieving her other granddaughter. In about an hour, the wind should be better.

How did you fare in this little storm?

Well, we’ve experienced stronger winds during a normal thunderstorm.
The big fun thing for us is always the media, who station people up and down the coast, checking on them for ‘reports’. The the peeps try to make stuff up. Like, they look over their shoulder at the calm ocean and say “The surf is angry and the sea churning”. Meanwhile, a couple in love strolls hand in hand behind the reporter, enjoying the day.

    That, my dear, is entertainment.

Heh- I fared just fine….but then again, I do not live in Florida.

Although we are having our own mess….we’ve had over 9″ of rain so far this month- and we usually get zilch. Flood warnings and flash flood watches all over the place.

Still- I’d rather be here than where you are- I hear tornado’s touched down??
